Architectural screening enamels are used on various glass substrates and thicknesses, 1/8" to 1/2". The enamels are cured or fired into the glass during the tempering or heat strengthening cycle, reaching temperatures ranging from 1100° to 1350° F.
Architectural screen printing consists of holes, dots, stripes, and many other custom designs. The printed glass products are used for decorations on buildings, office and room dividers, signs, phone booths, store fronts and doors, shower doors, etc.
Arch Deco Glass® offers the following standard silk-screened patterns as well as others.

Ceramic Frit Silk-Screened glass is permanent. The process requires that the glass is either heat strengthened or fully tempered. It can be used in both interior and exterior applications, insulating glass units, laminated, almost anywhere.

Silkscreen is not recommended on an exterior surface. It should be specified on the #2 surface for a single pane application or on the #2, #3, or #4 surface of an insulated unit. For laminated Silkscreen, it should be specified on the #2, #3 or #4 surface. (The surfaces here are described as outside looking in)
